Position Overview

The Chef de Partie is the third-in-command in the kitchen and plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the highest culinary standards. This position supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef by leading and managing the kitchen team during their absence, ensuring consistency with established guidelines and event requirements. The ideal candidate is an accomplished culinarian who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, excels at organization and cleanliness, and demonstrates exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide kitchen and stewarding staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and quality at all times
  • Ensure creative and consistent food presentation for all events
  • Oversee kitchen activities to maximize efficiency while maintaining accuracy
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and storage best practices, including equipment and inventory management
  • Stay current with dining trends, cooking methods, and event-based culinary techniques
  • Collaborate with the culinary management team to train and develop staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive food service supervisory experience, including full-service and upscale event venues
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in off-premises catering
  • Valid Georgia driver's license in good standing
  • Current ServSafe certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in culinary arts

Physical & Schedule Requirements

This position requires standing for long periods, moving efficiently throughout shifts, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. A flexible, event-driven schedule-including evenings, weekends, and holidays-is required.
