The role you'll contribute:

The Development Coordinator focuses on activities which Identify prospective donors and retain current donors, is key in building the beneficiary pipeline to maintain and develop the donation of funds and gifts for AdventHealth programs. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team:

  • Follows the Foundations Major Gift Core Process to Identify, Engage, Cultivate, Solicit and Steward a donor portfolio that includes individuals (major gift donors and grateful patients), corporations, physicians, staff, and administrators.

  • Focus mainly on identifying and engaging gifts below $10,000 as per Master Core Process.

  • Based on respective beneficiary, meet or exceed visit metrics of 2 to 6 meetings per week, 8-24 meetings per month, and 80-240 meetings per year in order to help achieve annual fundraising goals

  • In conjunction with other Development Officers, achieve success in planning and executing introductory-type events designed to initiate a relationship between prospective donors and AdventHealth.

  • Coordinates beneficiary and/or board process to get maximum engagement of Hospital Leadership, Physicians, Nurses, Board Members and volunteers. Communicates a clear message to key stakeholders that is compelling and aligned with the Mission/Vision of the beneficiarys priorities.

  • Document all visits, solicits and moves within the Core Process in Raisers Edge for monthly reporting and tracking.

  • Participate in active Pipeline Development activities that help engage potential donors in the life of the organization and will ensure growing a strong portfolio and a long term, sustainable pipeline of potential donors. These include but are not limited to: Board Member Referrals, Existing Donor Referrals, Professional Advisor Referrals, Point Of Entry, AH Foundation Events (Gala and Golf), Planned Giving Forums, Administrator Presentations, Meet the Physician Events, Grateful Patient Events and Grateful Patient Leads from Donor Relations.

  • Work with the Gen Champions (Formerly 1908 Employee Giving) staff and Annual Fund staff to grow participation rates for both programs in respective beneficiary/ies in order to fund defined priorities using tools, such as Social Media Platform as well as other Annual Fund techniques to drive giving to the beneficiary.

  • Maintain most current knowledge and skills relevant to the fundraising profession.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Required:

  • Associate degree

  • 2 Work related Experience

  • Able to communicate and motivate via excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Understand the principles of donor marketing and fundraising cost-effectiveness, including donor targeting, donor giving opportunity development, organizational need and solutions-based selling, and expense to profit ratio.

  • Appreciate the need for consistency within AdventHealths branding and marketing mix.

  • Currently have or be willing to build an established network of community and business relationships.

  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality gift pipeline development.
