Description
The Porter and Kitchen Associate provides cleaning, dishwashing, and basic food preparation assistance in the kitchen and dining room at Pendle Hill. The dining room serves three buffet-style meals a day, year-round, to an average of 40 but up to 100 guests per meal.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and washes pots, pans, plates, glassware, and cutlery. Operates commercial dishwashing machine according to provided instructions and pre-washes pieces by hand as needed.
Removes trash, recycling, and compost buckets daily in Kitchen area.
Cleans workspace and equipment within kitchen and dishwasher area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
Keeps a clean and safe work environment in alignment with ServSafe standards.
Assists with unpacking of food deliveries and organizing stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
Assists with collecting and washing linens for the kitchen as needed.
Completes simple food preparation as needed.
Attends Kitchen meetings with the Dining Services Manager and other kitchen staff.
Other duties as assigned.
