Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Utility Worker responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the work area and supporting the team in various food service operations. Responsibilities Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Assist in food preparation and handling as needed. Support banquet and conference food service operations. Help with front-of-house duties, ensuring a clean and welcoming space for guests. Perform dishwashing tasks and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Work independently and collaboratively with team members. Essential Skills General labor skills. Experience in food preparation and food service. Proficiency in cleaning and maintaining work areas. Effective communication skills. Strong presentation and customer service abilities. Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 45 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Positive and enthusiastic approach to assignments. Cheerful and helpful demeanor when interacting with customers. Work Environment The role is based in Wilmington, DE, with potential work locations including Powder Mill Road, North Walnut Street, and Stanton Christiana Road in Newark. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, with varying shifts from 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm, offering a consistent and predictable routine. The dress code is casual, focusing on comfort and functionality to suit the physical demands of the role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, Delaware. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
