Help

Operes a full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Assists customers by discussing beverages available, their contents and mixing special drinks according to customer direction.

Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with opering procedures. Accountable for receipts and inventory.

Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary. Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.

Provide work direction for other employees in the bar area.

Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxiced.

Other duties as assigned.

A one year probionary period may be required.

Sisfactorily complete an employment verificion (E-Verify) check.

Sisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanition and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

Subject to sisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examinion.

Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigion for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

An employer referred pre-employment physical examinion is required.

Physical Effort: Must be able to lift or move objects up to 20 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds with the assistance of other workers or lifting devices.

Qualificions

Candides must meet all of the following requirements:

1. Must meet the ste/local age requirement (21 years of age or older) for the serving of alcoholic beverages the time of appointment.

2. Be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

3. Possess mh skills necessary to calcule bills and take inventory.

4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

5. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.

6. Work experience as a full-service bartender.

FWS Allowances and Differentials

This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.

All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrive workweek, whichever provides the greer benefit to the employee.

Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment cegory) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled re if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

Incentives and Bonuses

Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
