Overview
Mission of the role: The Housekeeping Manager leads all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained guest rooms and public spaces. This role oversees staffing, training, quality audits, inventory control, and compliance with brand and safety standards while fostering a positive, high-performance culture. Essential Job Functions: • Recruit, onboard, train, and coach room attendants, housepersons, laundry, and supervisors. • Build schedules and assignments to balance productivity and labor targets. • Monitor guest feedback (surveys, reviews, service recovery logs) and drive continuous improvement. • Perform daily room and public-area inspections; ensure brand presentation and cleanliness standards. • Enforce lost & found procedures, key control, chemical handling, and OSHA compliance. • Enforce cleanliness, safety, and brand standards; conducting routine inspections. • Partner with Engineering for maintenance issues and out-of-order rooms. • Monitor productivity metrics. • Oversee laundry operations: pars, linen quality, stain treatment, equipment care. • Manage purchasing for linens, amenities, and supplies. • Maintain training records, inspection logs, and performance documentation.
Qualifications
• 2–4+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in hotels or similar high-volume environment. • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, chemicals/equipment, and OSHA/CDC best practices. • Proven team leadership with training, coaching, and performance management. • Comfortable with hotel PMS and task systems. • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; bilingual a plus. • Ability to work weekends/holidays as needed.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $60,000.00/Yr. - $65,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
