POSITION OBJECTIVE
Provide guests with a fully stocked and well-maintained mini bar on a consistent basis throughout their stay. Stock the mini-bar cart with the necessary items in order to maintain the par level on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Clean, stock and maintain the mini-bars regularly and consistently, it must be kept clean at all times. This included but not limited the cleaning of equipment, product and menus.
- Wipe down all of the snack compartments thoroughly.
- Maintain a fully stocked inventory of all mini-bar items.
- If par level is low, order the necessary items from the storeroom.
- Inventory all guest mini bars on a daily basis and post the appropriate charges to the room prior to guest departure.
- Ensure all duties found in the refreshment center inspection/attendant evaluation checklist are followed including completing assigned floors, cleanliness of assigned mini-bars, menus are present, inventory is complete, and refill reports are accurately filled out.
- Raising of checks and maintaining Bartech and Ipads.
- Authorized to enter in all guest rooms pertaining to Mini bar at any given point of time.
- Must respect Do Not Disturb light, and when lit a Mini Bar service card must be placed under the door as well as DND Room to be marked
- Stock and replace missing items, inspect, make sure labels are facing guests, bottles are sealed, move and clean the mini bars in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
- Maintain, track and complete daily worksheet of mini bar stock.
- Responsible for replenishment of Mini bar items in rooms.
- Responsible for maintaining the Mini bar Pantry in terms of par stock, stacking and cleanliness. Make sure items are locked and secured.
- Wipe down all bottles thoroughly
- Ensure products in Mini-Bar are not expired and take the proper procedure to remove those products as necessary.
- Maintain assigned Mini-Bar carts.
- Raise store requisition and obtain stock from warehouse and store in the assigned storerooms.
- Maintain and complete assigned floors and rooms requesting Mini-Bar service.
- Follows up on guest disputes.
- Mini bar attends are responsible for the safe keeping of master keys, mini bar carts and Bartech Ipads.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service and display professionalism at all times.
- Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure rotation of all mini-bar products. FIFO (first in first out)
- Properly complete, maintain and track inventory in assigned storerooms.
- Communicate effectively with Mini-Bar Vending Supervisor any issues and/or concerns.
- Display appropriate two-way radio etiquette at all times.
- Report all mini-bar concerns to management including any guest issues.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary for the success of the department.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Point of sale (POS) systems, Handheld POS, inventory and store requisition software and reporting tools.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Previous experience in hotel industry.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule which includes working weekends and holidays.

- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10F) and kitchens (+110F), possibly for one hour or more.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for a minimum of 8 hours in length. Walking and standing are required for the majority of the work day and possibly for 8 hours or more. Uniform should be worn at all times and kept nice and neatly pressed with name tag visible at all times.
- Must be able to push or pull 100 lb., product carts, and bend at the knee to check bars frequently.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs throughout the day.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
- Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
