This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 + Tips.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check assigned station before, during and after shift for proper set up and c leanliness .
- Responsible for the completion of designated side work checklists (both opening an d
closing) .
- Responsible for keeping the dining room floors free of debris and spilled liquids.
- Bus tables and re-se t tables for the next guest. Pick-up clean linen for service and
d rop off soiled linen for washing to determined area.
- Always provide excellent service to all our guests .
- Assist g uest s courteously and efficiently.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and station at all times.
- Keep chairs and banquettes clean and clear of debris.
- Handle customer requests in a timely manner .
- Set up side station with sugar bowls, water pitche r s, bread, and butter etc . a s
established in the side work sheet.
- Ensure all silver ware is polished and spotless.
- Follow the cleaning program for the restaurant established in the side work sheet.
- Upkeep and clear tables between courses throughout the meal .
- Delivery of food from kitchen to guests tables, including tray service .
- Assist in setting up tables according to floor plan.
- Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything.
- Attend all food and beverage training classes when requested .
- W ish every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming.
- Must be aware at all times what type of water each guest in their station is drinking.
- Make coffee, tea, and hot beverages for guests.
- Place all to go food in appropriate containers .
- Attend daily pre-meal /communication meeting.
- Attend monthly department meeting.
- Communicat e with all server s and server assistants in a professional manner.
- All other responsibilities assigned by Management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
- Be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
- Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner .
- Have good knowledge of food and beverage preparations.
- Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management.
- Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Have excellent communication and organization skills.
- Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming.
- Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.
- Have the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
- TIPS and ServSafe Certified .
- Must be comfortable with exposure to the elements, as some duties may require outdoor work or exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 50 lbs ; standing, bending and lifting will be required .
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time .
Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
