Summary
The role of the general maintenance technician is to include but not limited to trouble shooting and repairing hydraulic mechanical equipment as well as assisting with equipment installation and start up. This position also maintains equipment by performing routine PM activities and inspections.
Duties included but not limited to:
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform equipment safety inspections and schedule corrective action with Maintenance planner.
- Ensure maintenance repairs are performed correct and professionally in compliance.
- Proficient with (24v/120v) single phase power and equipment controls.
- Document and report equipment deficiencies.
- Report workorder status to production and provide feedback on progress.
- Ensure part inventory is being backflushed when they are used, and reordering stock is requested.
- Help maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
- Follow PPE/Lockout-tagout requirements.
Qualifications and education requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to trouble shoot basic circuits and motor drive controls.
- Ability to work from extended heights.
- Ability to thread and install piping.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs from a squatted position.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent communication skills.
