Morandi, an Italian trattoria from restaurateur Keith McNally.

Nestled in the heart of the West Village, Morandi offers seasonal Italian dining in a lively setting. Fresh handmade pastas and comforting entrees adorn the menu along with an extensive wine list. Morandi is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch and offers outdoor seating.

Areas of Responsibilities:

Making a positive first impression by welcoming guests and guiding them to their tables.

Accurately recording food and beverage orders, often using a POS system or order slips.

Being knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to answer customer questions and make recommendations.

Delivering orders to tables efficiently and professionally, ensuring correct preparation and presentation.

Providing excellent service by checking on guests, refilling drinks, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their meal.

Processing payments accurately and efficiently, including cash and card transactions.

Clearing finished dishes, wiping tables, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment and addressing any issues.

Adhering to all relevant NYC health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Ideal Experience:

  • Two years of fine dining room experience in a high volume, upscale Italian restaurant.
  • Strong Italian Wine knowledge as well as cocktails and full knowledge of spirits.
  • Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality.
  • Day, weekend, and night availability

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips ($16.50 per hour minus tip credit)
