Host

The Chicago Marriott OHare Hotel is looking for a Restaurant Host to join our awesome hotel team! Overview: The Restaurant Host will be responsible for greeting guests in a positive manner, seating guests, ensuring sanitation/cleanliness in the restaurant while supporting the department and hotel needs to achieve the overall success of the operations. Responsibilities:

• Greet & Welcome guests in a positive manner
• Guide guests through the dining room and provide any assistance as needed
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings for guest or group needs
• Ensure table, chairs, menus, and place settings are clean and set to standards
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and practice clean-as-you-go procedures
• Speak using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Display a positive attitude while being a team player
• Follow and ensure proper compliance with safety & sanitation procedures
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Previous Restaurant Host experience a plus.
• Work duties may include exerting 25 pounds or more of force frequently or constantly by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects.

Availability:

• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
