JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing high-quality service for Plateau guests, including food orders, service, and an overall pleasant dining experience. Accepts and accurately processes payments for services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service, placing customers' interests first.
  • Promptly offers beverage service and other amenities necessary by guests.
  • Up-sells menu items-desserts and specials.
  • Takes customers' food orders and promptly relays them through POS.
  • When food items are ready, promptly deliver the order and condiments needed.
  • Remains attentive to guests during their meal for beverage refills, condiments, etc., ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintains assigned area in an organized, efficient, and clean manner at all times.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Throughout the shift, maintains side work stations and replenish accordingly; and at the end of the shift, ensure all side work assigned is complete.
  • Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Checks out imprest bank.
  • Verifies check-in and cash reconciliation and prepares shift-end check-out cash reconciliation.
  • Present check to guest, collect payment and return change if applicable.
  • Becomes familiar with the menu, and offer suggestions, and wine pairings.
  • Remains knowledgeable of all property amenities to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Creates an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One (1) year of previous table service experience, preferably in fine dining.
  • Must possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment.
  • Physically fit-able to stand and/or walk for long periods; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; and able to lift and maneuver 50lbs. Carries and balances food and beverage trays weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills- verbally able to provide instructions, responds to questions and has exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to count back change.
  • Possesses working knowledge of wines, beer, and liquor.
  • Requires High-Security Gaming License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
