Job Description
Hyatt Regency Baytown - Houston is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Food and Beverage Manager to join our leadership team. As a Department Head-level leader, this role supports the daily operations and strategic execution of all hotel Banquet functions, F&B outlets, including our restaurants, lounge, and market. This individual will report directly to the Director of Operations and will play a key role in maintaining Hyatt's high service standards, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering team development.
Responsibilities Include -
Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs
Direct and oversee the development of employees.
Hire, train, empower, coach, and counsel, and performance
Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory, and budget for food and beverage operations
Coordinate food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
Ability to ensure thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders. Responsible for the appropriate and timely setup of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage, and meeting specifications
Responsible for ensuring coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Sales, and Events
Responsible for maintaining a high-energy, positive, professional appearance
Responsible for developing innovative and creative decor for the Banquet function space
Performing daily walk-throughs in the banquet department and all function spaces
Ability to develop ideas for special events and holiday functions
Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
Maintaining Hyatt's standards of service and ensuring their implementation
3-4 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience
Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
Full-time management Position that requires full flexibility, including the ability to work weekends and holidays, and a varied schedule
Proven leadership skills
Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Experience implementing new F&B concepts
