Typical shift: 9:00 AM 3:30 PM (6 hours/day with 30 min lunch break; extended hours during busy periods)
Initial schedule: Saturdays and Sundays only; more shifts may be added as they become available

About the Job:
The English Bay Hotel is hiring a Housekeeper/Maid to help maintain clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and common areas.

No experience necessary we provide training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Enter guest rooms following proper procedures; ensure rooms are vacant before entry
- Replace used amenities and toiletries in guest rooms
- Provide clean linens, make beds, and sanitize bathrooms
- Remove used towels, trash, and room service items
- Check all room appliances to ensure functionality
- Adjust or organize furniture, desk items, and amenities as needed
- Dust furniture and walls; remove scuff marks and stains
- Vacuum carpets in both guest rooms and hallways
- Wash and dry linens in the laundry room
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., light bulbs out, faulty switches) to the front desk
- Immediately report safety hazards, injuries, or accidents
- Turn in any lost-and-found items to the front desk
- Greet and acknowledge guests; provide assistance to guests with disabilities when needed

What Were Looking For:

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Knowledge of basic cleaning supplies and procedures (training provided)
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset, but not required

Compensation:

- Starting at minimum wage; $17.85 per hour
- Pay increase scheduled for June
