Position Summary

Set up banquet equipment, food, and beverages at designated times and locations to ensure seamless execution of catered events. Provide guests with the highest standard of food and beverage service while upholding hotel standards, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work on time in full uniform and adhere to all policies outlined in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks.

  • Comply with the "clean-as-you-go" policy and maintain a safe, courteous work environment at all times.

  • Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately to complete all setups.

  • Set tables correctly and uniformly using:

    • Clean, pressed linens free of rips, stains, or tears

    • Spotless silverware, china, and glassware without chips or cracks

    • Properly filled and cleaned table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, bread baskets, etc.)

  • Maintain knowledge of the menu for each function and be able to describe ingredients and preparation methods to guests.

  • Monitor assigned stations during service by refilling water and coffee, clearing used items, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Follow proper in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown procedures.

  • Return and properly store all reusable table complements, condiments, and equipment.

  • Assist Captains, Managers, or Maitred with setting up and breaking down buffets, special food service stations, and equipment.

  • Set up, serve, and break down coffee breaks, receptions, banquet bars, and other special functions according to standards.

  • Greet and serve guests in accordance with established food and beverage service guidelines.

  • Accurately follow guest check and money-handling procedures when processing a la carte or beverage orders.

  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques where appropriate (e.g., wine, cocktails, after-dinner drinks, specialty coffees).

  • Complete assigned side work such as refilling condiments, sorting linens, storing drapes, and cleaning or storing service equipment.

  • Adhere to proper lifting and safety procedures.

  • Carry out any reasonable requests from management within the scope of responsibility.

  • Have or be able to obtain servsafe and Alcohol training certificates
