Barista needed in Greenpoint, independent coffee shop. Odd Fox Coffee

Odd Fox Coffee is a small, independent coffee shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Oh the lovely G train: how fond we are of you. I'm looking for a kind, responsible and chill part time barista to add to our team.

Coffee shop experience is important as you will be expected to quickly settle into the requirements of the job. So I will only be looking at individuals with a history in coffee shops. Additionally, I enjoy having staff with other interests in life; students, musicians, painters, artists. I think what makes a coffee shop interesting and fun to be in is building a community of people with active interests, and I hope to provide a solid day job that helps support your endeavors outside the shop. We try to be real, chill, and make good coffee in a friendly way.

We are a pretty mellow shop, with a neighborhood vibe. At some point during the day each barista works alone. This means if you must currently have your NYC FOOD PROTECTION card. I can't hire you if you don't already have it.

It's also a pretty Queer coffee shop, so ya know, being gay-friendly is rather important.

Weekend availability is a MUST. Pay is hourly, $16 + tips which are around $10 more an hour. Easily works out to $26 + an hour. We are looking for someone for about 3 shifts a week.
