HOUSEKEEPER- Part-time

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity and providing our team members with the support they need.
We are looking for a Part-Time housekeeper to join our growing team. The position is 25 hours weekly, 5 hours a day Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 10 pm.
The position is in-person at our Minnie Jones Health Center, 257 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
Our housekeeping team keeps the health center in a clean and orderly condition. They perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. They are also responsible for notifying management of needed repairs
Minimum Qualifications
Able to communicate effectively. Interacts in a friendly, professional manner with a wide range of staff, physicians and public.
Plan, prioritize and complete delegated task with attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure is essential.
Experience: None required
Additional skills preferred: Knowledge of medical office operations. Familiarity with role of FQHCs in the community

Key Responsibilities
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Clean work surfaces (e.g., countertops, tabletops, desktops, etc.) using disinfecting products, rags, or power cleaning equipment
Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
Wash and disinfect plastic toys according to established policies and procedures
Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent injuries to self and others, as well as damage to floors and fixtures
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
Gather and empty trash
Service, clean and supply restrooms
The ability to clean very infectious areas and rooms and willing to do this task.
Requisition needed supplies according to policies and procedures
Move furniture, equipment, or supplies either manually or by using carts or hand trucks.
The ability to lift between 40-50 pounds.
Notify designated personnel concerning the need for maintenance and repairs
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to minimize the risks and hazards
Set up, arrange, or remove tables, chairs, decorations, etc., to prepare facilities for events (e.g., meetings)
Steam clean or shampoo carpets
Participate in quality management activities-including trainings
Occasionally, other appropriate duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
Fit testing of N95 mask. Be willing to go through testing.
