Guest Service Representative (PT)

Under general supervision, this position providesfront-linecustomerservicedutiesforrecreationalfacilities, and performs a variety of customer service, clerical, and janitorial duties.

  • Performs front line customer service and concession duties at the following Recreation Facilities (including but not limited to):

  • Fieldhouse

  • Recreation Center

  • Discovery Park Ice Trail

  • H2O'BrienPool

  • Salisbury Park

  • Utilizes resources to effectively serve customers and remedy complaints or conflicts in a professional manner.

  • Performs general receptionist duties, which may include facility tours.

  • Assists patrons with membership related inquiries which may include class registration, scheduling, and rentals.

  • Performs basic cash handling duties. Adheres to the Cash Handling Policy & Procedure.

  • AssistsintheeducationandenforcementoftheRecreationFacilityPoliciesandProcedures.

  • Prepares food; cleans concession equipment to meet the Health Department Standards.

  • Assists with ensuring the assigned facility, venues, and building/site equipment is in proper working order to maintain safe conditions for patrons and staff.

  • Assists with and/or performs facility setups and tear downs for various programs and rentals.

  • Maintains various inventories including but not limited to general office supplies, pro-shop merchandise, equipment rentals, and concession supplies.

  • Assists in training new staff on front desk procedures and facility operations.

  • Performs general opening and closing procedures as assigned.

  • Alerts appropriate staff to emergency situations and/ or maintenance concerns.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, evenings and/or holidays.

Tools & Equipment

Requires frequent use of general office equipment, cleaning equipment and concession equipment.

Physical Demands

Requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, handling, feeling or operating objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Requires occasional reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing. Requires moderate physical activity with heavy lifting, up to fifty(50) pounds. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision.

Environment

Work is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but employees holding this position may be exposed to extreme cold or heat and wetness/humidity. The noise level is usually high and may range from moderate to extreme. The employee may occasionally work with or around hazardous items or hazardous conditions such as mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, chemicals, or radiant energy.

Part-time and Seasonal Town of Parker employees have limited access to benefits which include: employee assistance program (EAP), one (1) hour of sick time accrued for every thirty (30) hours worked, and employee plus one (1) other member in your household a membership to the Parker Recreation Center and/or Fieldhouse.
