Food Service Associate (Part-Time)
Location: 1405 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15237
Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

The Day School is an approved private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Private Academic Schools and approved as a special education school by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Families and school districts alike have connected with our expert educational team to bring specialized education and related services, including autism support and multiple disabilities support, to nearly 200 students from 60+ school districts across western Pennsylvania each year.
About the Position
The Day School is seeking a Food Service Associate to assist our Dietician to help our amazing students achieve their dietary goals. Job responsibilities will include:
Preparation of all food items and cafeteria counters/serving areas
Serve meals to students
Clean and disinfect all areas in the kitchen, including serving stations, food preparation stations, utensils and dishes, daily
Maintain a well-organized working area
Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with students and staff
Successfully complete all required food service training
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous food service experience in a school cafeteria is strongly desired.
Experience working with exceptional children in an educational setting is strongly desired.
Clearances Required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
