One of Atlanta's premier golf clubs is looking to hire talented and driven culinarians. Candidates must have at least 2 years experience working in a professional kitchen and be able to work under a certified master chef. Must be available to work all shifts including; evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods, including cakes, cookies, tarts, pies, and other desserts. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of classic pastry techniques and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.

Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.

Create and decorate pastries and desserts to a high standard.

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

Manage the inventory of baking ingredients and ensure proper storage.

Work with the kitchen team to meet production timelines and service needs.

Assist in creating new menu items and special dessert offerings.

Monitor and maintain the quality of ingredients used.

Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are clean and in good working condition.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or Baker.

Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts is preferred.

Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and processes.

Strong attention to detail, particularly with presentation and flavor combinations.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to lift heavy bags of flour, sugar, and other ingredients, and stand for long periods.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to develop new pastry and dessert recipes.

Experience in working with specialized dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, etc.).

Knowledge of modern pastry trends and techniques.

Position Classification and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The assigned hours to this position vary each week according to event schedules, but include working on holidays and weekends.
