About the Role:

As a Host at Il Premio, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression. Your primary objective is to ensure that every guest feels valued and comfortable from the moment they enter the establishment until they are seated. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and maintain an organized flow of guests to optimize the dining experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest inquiries, accommodate special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the hospitality environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years host experience in a fine dining restuarant.
  • Advanced proficiency with reservation and seating management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse clientele.
  • Certification in hospitality or customer service training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide prompt seating according to reservation and walk-in status.
  • Manage the reservation system efficiently, including booking, confirming, and updating guest information.
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously, providing information about the menu, wait times, and special accommodations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station and lobby area to uphold the establishment’s professional appearance.
  • Monitor guest wait times and communicate effectively to manage expectations and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours to optimize seating capacity and reduce wait times.
  • Support team members with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
