Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the custodian supervisor in following all routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to preserve a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of the premises. The custodian will work with management to ensure efficiency and safety.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Interfere when the custodian supervisor is not in attendance assigning proper duties to the custodian staff and ensuring that company standards are being met.
Must take inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment when necessary.
Inform supervisor/ management when supplies are depleted.
Assist with the training and guidance of all custodians.
Attend meetings and trainings as required.
Must assist with ensuring that the building is kept clean and in orderly conditions.
Performs routine maintenance activities.
Use the proper color code for each department.
Performs heavy cleaning duties.
Sweeps, mops, or scrubs floors.
Gathers and empties trash.
Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom.
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions using the proper cleansers for each area.
Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
Cleans carpets and rugs.
Manages inventory of PPE, cleaning products, and breakroom supplies.
Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Supplies production and shipping with PPE and all other materials needed or requested by supervisor.
Carry building keys responsibly.
Clean and sanitize the refrigerator every morning.
Communicate with colleagues to efficiently separate tasks.
Will be involved with food safety activities.
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Possible weekend shift assigned if needed.
Always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
