Position Overview:

Reporting to our Food & Beverage Manager, the Restaurant Busser professionally serves guests by assisting with food delivery, preparing items needed to complete food preparation, assisting the culinary team with replenishing supplies, providing information about the culinary and beverage selections available. Accurately presenting and serving selected items, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the experience, and communicating effectively with team members Management/Supervisory team to prevent and resolve any issues. The Busser will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the restaurant and kitchen equipment.

This is a Part Time Position

Key Responsibilities:

· Gain insights into a guest dining preference through verbal and nonverbal cues.

· Be respectful and courteous to all colleagues and guests.

· Maintain the ambiance and service standards of the hotel throughout dining experience.

· Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

· Prepare room for dining by preparing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, polishing glassware, and polishing utensils.

· Support servers in satisfying guest needs by taking direction and helping to serve all items.

· Know and be able to speak eloquently about the hotel, restaurant, food and beverage offerings, wine, beer, and cocktail selections.

· Verify outgoing food orders matches the orders on tickets.

· Effectively communicate between FOH and BOH operations throughout entire shift.

· Proper handling of various payment options.

· Successfully resolve any guest issues and complaints in a calm manner and communicate all concerns to management.

· Refilling guest water as needed.

· Clearing tables as guests finishes each course and after completion of the meal.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able walk, stand and exert well placed mobility.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.

· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Qualification Standards:

· High school or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum 1 year of high-end hotel restaurant server experience preferred.

· RBS and SERV Safe certified required.

· All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Wage Rate: $21.22 per hour
