The University of Georgia Athletics Department is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Performance Cook to assist in preparing nutritious, performance-focused meals for student-athletes. This role is ideal for individuals with a moderate culinary skill set who are passionate about fueling athletic performance and working in a team-oriented kitchen environment.

The Performance Cook will work under the guidance of the Head Performance Chef to ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines, are prepared safely, and are served efficiently in support of the overall health and performance of UGA athletes.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

  • 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service setting preferred.
  • Basic cooking and food preparation skills required.
  • Understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Interest in performance nutrition or experience working with athletes is a plus.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee will lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, use close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
