Housekeeping hours are from 8am - 4pm, Monday thru Friday.

Joining the Independent Living Housekeeping Aide team provides an opportunity to meet lots of people within the facility and to work with a great team. A quick snapshot of job requirements includes cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and common areas by sweeping, dusting, mopping, removing trash from bins, routine tidying, organization of personal effects, restocking paper products in bathrooms and paying attention to detail.

SUPERVISOR: Apartment Manager

WORK AREA: Apartment Complex

PURPOSE:

To provide general house cleaning to the apartment resident bi-weekly and clean public areas as needed.

THIS PERSON REPORTS TO: Apartment Manager

HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY:

Responsible to adhere to HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY guidelines and safeguard protected health information.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

On feet most of work day. Pushes, pulls, lifts cleaning equipment and supplies. Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches in cleaning, dusting and scrubbing. Exposed irregularly to infection when entering resident areas. Subject to reactions from dust, housekeeping and disinfecting solutions.

WORKING HOURS:

8:00 4:00 p.m. full time. 11:30 2:30 part time.

DRESS CODE:

Company assigned dress code with name badge while on duty.

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

Willingness to perform routine, repetitive task on a continuous basis and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to perform tasks with due respect to the apartment resident. Observe proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques, economical use of supplies, care and use of equipment.

DUTIES:

1. Follows cleaning schedule as outlined.

2. Cleans assigned areas, floors, counter tops, stove top, microwave and outside cabinet doors.

3. Dust and polish all furniture and fixtures.

4. Clean and disinfect bathroom including all fixtures, floors, walls, mirrors, etc.

5. Mop kitchen and bathroom floors in the apartments.

6. Cleans linens for dining rooms.

7. Clean and disinfects all public areas including rest rooms, lounge areas, dining rooms, offices, exercise room, porches, breezeways, laundry rooms, and guest rooms.

8. Reports supply and equipment needs to apartment manager for replenishing and repair.

9. Performs other duties as assigned by apartment coordinator.

10. Assist with resident needs as needed.
