The Facility Groundskeepe r for our Dolton, IL facility is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of facility grounds. This role ensures that all outdoor areas, including lawns, landscapes, walkways, and parking areas, are well-kept, clean, and safe for employees, visitors, and guests.

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: $22hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, raking, and mulching.

Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.

Remove litter, debris, and hazardous materials from facility grounds.

Maintain walkways, driveways, and parking areas by sweeping, blowing leaves, shoveling snow, and applying salt/de-icer as needed.

Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, snow removal tools, and power equipment.

Perform basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs.

Assist with outdoor facility projects such as fence repairs, signage upkeep, and small landscaping improvements.

Monitor grounds for potential safety hazards and report or correct issues promptly.

Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with facility standards and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts as necessary;
  • Testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications;
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication of necessary parts to maintain working order;
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications

  • Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, basic welding knowledge, basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to work on weekends and overtime;
  • Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test;
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects.
