What You Should Know About the EVS Operating Room Attendant :

• Monday-Friday: Typical hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Environmental Services Department

Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Operating Room (OR) Tech cleans and maintains specified areas within the OR Department. This role is responsible for following hospital regulations/policies regarding the overall general cleaning of the department, biohazard waste disposal, restocking of cleaning supplies/paper products and communication with surgery staff as needed. Duties as include but not limited to terminal cleaning infectious OR suites, cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, offices, Dr.’s lounge, retrieving beds for OR usage, high dusting, trash, and bioremoval.

EVS Operating Room Attendant Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

• This is a safety sensitive position.*
• Minimum Requirements
• Must have general housekeeping knowledge and 90 Days of housekeeping experience.
• Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment
• Preferred Requirement:
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role
• Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures
