Full-Time Groundskeeper

General Description:
The Groundskeeper, under the supervision of the Horticulturist, is responsible for performing routine tasks in the upkeep of grounds and related equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
1. Apply fertilizer, lime, insecticides, and herbicides as directed by the Horticulturist.
2. Maintain mowers and tractors in good operating condition and maintain routine service records for equipment.
3. Mow grass and prune plants as needed.
4. Monitor inventories of supplies, parts, and other items needed to perform job duties.
5. Assist other Maintenance Department workers as needed.
6. Other duties. (Willingness to accept and fulfill additional assignments.)
Position Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to repair and maintain equipment. Demonstrated ability to care for plants and grounds.

Minimum Education and Experience:
A High school diploma/equivalent plus two years of experience in grounds maintenance required. NCDA applicators license preferred. Must possess valid NC driver's license.
