This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Park Operations Staff. This position is responsible for general housekeeping duties at the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park facilities. Primary responsibilities include daily cleaning of rental cabins, park restrooms, group camp and multipurpose building.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

High school diploma or G.E.D.; one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in housekeeping or custodial service required.

Duties may be in office setting with a controlled environment, however, they are generally performed in both indoors and outdoors. Some driving required as needed within the Park. Working hours are generally normal weekday hours with night and weekend work required.
Housekeeping Activities
- Maintains an awareness of incoming and outgoing rental cabin guests. Provides daily cleaning of rental cabins after guests check-out, which includes: cleaning toilets and sinks, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, changing the sheets/towels, and emptying trash.
- Performs a quarterly deep cleaning of cabins.
- Collects dirty towels and sheets from the cabins and launders those items, ensuring an adequate supply to meet guests needs.
- Keeps an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and laundry supplies. Notifies supervisor when its time to order more supplies.
- Cleans park bathrooms and RV park showerhouses on a daily basis, ensuring sanitary conditions. Restocks toiletries as needed.
- Cleans the group camp and multi-purpose building following an event check-out, assuring a clean and safe environment and positive public relations.
- Provides light cleaning for the administrative areas of the Park such as the offices, bathrooms, and break-rooms located in the Maintenance shops and clubhouse.
- Maintains an awareness of all park and golf course policies, procedures, and practices, assuring thoroughness and accuracy.
