Groundskeeper Senior - Main Grounds - Full Time - Days

JOB DESCRIPTION
To maintain, install, inspect the landscaping and grounds for the main hospital campus and other off-campus locations as determined.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct landscaping & grounds maintenance, installation and seasonal projects (mowing, edging, planting, weeding, etc.)
2. Keep exterior grounds, parking and garage areas clean (sweeping, leaf removal, etc.)
3. Perform routine grounds/cleaning duties in various locations as assigned (trimming, pruning, waste removal, etc.)
4. Responsible for assisting with grounds / snow removal duties.
5. Oversee responsibilities of specific project and/or areas (i.e., Policing Parking Garages, Seasonal Plantings, Snow Removal) as directed by the Grounds Department Supervisor/Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (e.g. BSN required, MSN preferred.):
Please describe any specialized knowledge or skills, which are REQUIRED to perform the position duties. Do not personalize the job description, credentials, or knowledge and skills based on the current associate. List any special education required for this position.
EDUCATION: High School Graduate
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years required. Experience overseeing grounds projects highly desired.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Senior level knowledge of Grounds Department operations. Requires moderate to heavy physical effort. Good driving record with valid driver's license. Knowledge of operating landscaping / grounds equipment is a plus, but can be taught. Ability to make good decisions while working independently. Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues and while performing duties in a professional and safe manner.

Valid Driver's License
