Groundskeeper (Seasonal)

Hours:.Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM and Friday 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM.

Supervisor: Department of Public Works Foreman and Director of School Operations

Duties: Including but not limited to the following:Assist the Building and Grounds Department with trash removal/pick up around all town facilities.Assist the Building amd Grounds Department in maintaining fields and grounds mowing, weeding, etc.General LandscapingPlayground Maintenance and SafetyAbility to work with hand tools, small power tools, commercial mowers, ground equipment, and mediumsized trucks.Knowledge of outdoor athletic field layouts and the preparation of these facilities for sports events.Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 100 pounds to perform job tasks (moving furniture andequipment, etc.)Parking lot maintenanceMaintenance and cleaning of equipment repair of all equipment and trucks.Assist with the set up and break down of special events as assigned by the Building & Grounds. Thisposition requires an ability to follow directions, respond to the needs of the staff as situations arise andwork with the students around. It is essential that the individual be able to perform his/her assigned dutieswithout constant supervision, he/she should be a self-starter and multi-tasked individual.
