Job Details Job Description Osito is seeking a career-minded Captain/Sommelier who is highly motivated and passionate about hospitality. This is an ideal role for someone with server experience that is studying or hoping to transition into a career in wine. There will be opportunities to attend in-house distributor tastings with the Wine Director as well as off-site portfolio tastings.

Team members should be highly detail oriented, efficient, and open to learning and suggestions. Duties and Responsibilities -Work closely with the Wine Director to have a thorough understanding of the wine and beverage program -Execute wine pairings, retrieving bottles from the cellar, opening, serving, and upkeeping wine table service -Possess full knowledge of the Osito food menu, cocktail menu, wine pairings and BTG offerings -Stay current on changes to the wine program on a day-to-day basis -Possess strong knowledge of our after dinner beverage selections, and comfortability in offering them to all guests -Provide a high level of service and hospitality to guests while staying true to the Osito culture -Contribute and elevate service with a strong dedication to detail -Create discourse with guests to establish trust to guide them through the Osito dining experience -Being able to balance table maintenance, marking, clearing, running food, explaining each course, assisting with wine pairings and wine service, resetting tables, water service -Provide all auxiliary beverage service including coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages -Maintain a gracious and professional manner on the floor at all times Qualifications -Knowledge of hospitality and fine points of service (open handed, synchronization, etc.) -Intermediate wine knowledge required: should be able to provide distinguishing features of all major regions -Two years of experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred -Posses a hospitable and gracious demeanor -Strong knowledge of Food, Wine, and Spirits -Food Handlers Safety Permit, ABC RBS Training c\Certification -US Work Authorization required -Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips
