at Southern Seven Health Department in Metropolis, Illinois, United States Job Description Custodian This position is a full time (10 months/year) position and is based at the Metropolis Early Learning Center in Metropolis, Illinois . This position provides routine custodial activities at a Head Start center to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, neat, and orderly state. Qualifications: At a minimum a High School Diploma or GED is required and the applicant must be at least 18 years of age; prefer at least two years of experience related to custodial work. Pay: $15.30 Job Duties: Completes daily safety inspection of the site and playground. Cleans center as outlined in schedule to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, bathrooms, and various other cleaning duties. Maintains cabinet/closet for needed supplies and cleaning materials - including completing requests for ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies and ensuring all products are safely stored. Uses only approved cleaning supplies and as according to the directions on the label. Completes checklists as assigned. Performs routine maintenance tasks. Performs any other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the Head Start program.
