Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring the building is clean and sanitized for all.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Spot cleans and shampoos as necessary.
• Cleans, dusts, and polishes furniture. fixtures, counters, walls, and other hard surface furniture.
• Cleans and disinfects all health center surfaces using germicides.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport them to the dumpsters. Cleans trash receptacles
• Cleans and maintains interior and exterior walkways.
• Collects regulated medical waste and prepares for vendor pickup.
• Cleans floor mats.
• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Defrosts office refrigerators, cleaning the inside of microwave ovens, refrigerators, kitchen sinks, and counter surfaces.
• Replaces light bulbs and reports needed repairs to the supervisor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
• Assist other departments in relocating any furniture or equipment, as well as assemble new furniture.
• Perform or assist with the setup and breakdown for meetings and events and any other activity required.
• Transport him/herself to other agency departments, conference rooms, and, on occasion, off-site agency locations to accomplish job responsibilities, as well as attend meetings, workshops, seminars, etc.
• Accomplish job duties using various equipment/supplies e.g. pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboard, telephone, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree or GED equivalent required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills commensurate with the responsibilities of the position are required.
• A minimum of 6 months prior related experience preferred. Will provide on-the-job training.
• Ability to present a professional image of the organization to members of the community.
• Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
