The Hotel On North is a fun, modern boutique hotel in the heart ofPittsfield. We are looking for a guest service agent to join our awesomefront desk team. A Hotel Front Desk Clerk is the primary point ofcontact for guests upon arrival, responsible for efficiently checkingguests in and out, managing reservations, answering inquiries, providinginformation about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring apositive guest experience through friendly and professional customerservice. Key responsibilities include: - Greeting guests and processingcheck-ins/check-outs - Managing reservations, including taking bookings,cancellations, and modifications - Assigning rooms and issuing roomkeys - Answering phone calls and addressing guest inquiries - Providinginformation about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions -Handling cash transactions and processing payments - Maintainingaccurate guest records and logs - Resolving guest concerns andcomplaints in a timely manner - Following hotel policies and proceduresSkills required: - Excellent customer service skills - Strongcommunication and interpersonal abilities - Attention to detail andaccuracy - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks - Basic computerliteracy To do this kind of work, you must be able to: - Be welcomingand friendly. - Make decisions based on your own judgment and companypolicy. - Follow instructions without close supervision. - Speak andwrite clearly and accurately. - Be available for a varied work schedulewhich may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
