JSND Job Order #918395;**Circle of Nations is seeking a Custodian for an 11-month position.****Job Title:** Custodian/Supplies**Employment Location:**Circle of Nations832 North 8th StreetWahpeton, ND 58075**Department:**Facilities**Immediate Supervisor:**Facilities Manager**Pay Status:**Non-Exempt**Calendar Classification:**11- Month Staff**Terms of Employment:**Salary and work year to be established by the school board. Duty hours to include 8 hours per day/40 hours per week.**Evaluation:** Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the school boards policy on evaluation of staff personnel.**Education/Qualifications:** HS/GED with at least three (3) years' experience operating cleaning equipment.**Must possess a valid drivers licensePhysical Activity:**Employee will be required to stoop, kneel, stand, walk, sit, lift, speak, and hear.**Physical Requirements:** Employee shall be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs of force frequently to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move objects, including the human body.**Mental Requirements:** Employee shall be able to appropriately adapt to mildly stressful and/or emotional situations.**Working Conditions:** Worker is subject to activities that occur indoors and outdoors. Outside temperatures range from below 32 degrees to above 75 degrees.**Duties and responsibilities:**- Must be able to operate floor care equipment.- Must be able to lift over 50 lb.- Responsible for removing graffiti.- Responsible for setting up chairs, bleachers, etc. for meetings and ball games.- Responsible for cleaning classrooms, offices, storage areas, hallways and entrances areas.- Must be able to use a variety of chemicals, materials and equipment to sweep, mop, scrub. Wax. Strip and polish.- Must notify the facilities manager of any allergic reaction you may have to chemicals.- Responsible for vacuuming and cleaning carpets, washing windows, blinds and blackboards, changing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and moving furniture for cleaning.- Responsible for cleaning restrooms assuring that proper chemicals are utilized for sanitation.- Replace soap and paper products.- Assure that equipment is properly cared for and maintained i.e. replacing belts, brushes, etc if necessary for continued efficiency.- Responsible for maintaining frequently used janitorial supplies by advising supply clerk well in advance on materials and equipment.- Responsible for hauling trash, shovel snow, mow grass, chop weeds, trim shrubs, and paint when needed.- Responsible for filling and delivering supply request form to different departments.- Responsible for adding new MSD Sheets to binders in building(s) when supplied by the Supply Clerk.- Must be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)- Must be trained in First Aid and CPR/AED.- Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent/facilities manager.Teamwork and CollaborationCustodians will work in collaboratively facilities manager, facilities admin. Assistant, maintenance workers, security and supply clerk in the maintaining of building and campus grounds.Will assist in Fire Drills and Lockdown Drills when on duty.Communication and Documentation[]{style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 7pt; font-weight: normal; fon"}
