Job Overview The Custodian shall provide routine and specialty commercial cleaning support to a variety of buildings. This support includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing, removing trash and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, and fixtures; polishing metal fixtures; providing supplies and general labor services. The Custodian is also accountable for maintaining inventory needs. Pay Rate: $23.80/hourly Schedule: 4:00PM-8:00PM or 5:00PM-9:00PM Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day. Plan, organize work, and meet all deadlines. Incumbent will clean and sanitize facilities and related fixtures including drinking fountains, refrigerated water coolers, custodial mop sinks, restroom sinks, urinals, showers, and toilets. Responsible for sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Replenish supplies. Responsible for ensuring all dusting (both high and low) areas are maintained as necessary and polishing furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Wash windows (both interior and exterior), mirrors, and walls. Washing windows may require the use of ladders. Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles. Move and arrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and replacement when completed. Responsible for cleaning window blinds either Venetian or vertical as required. Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities. Perform specialized projects such as restoration programs on floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other items. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory General knowledge of hand and power tools. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must have excellent organizational skills. High school graduate or equivalent. Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Valid state driver's license with excellent driving record (must provide current driving record). Ability to obtain FBI Clearance. Preferred: At least 2 years' of custodial experience.
