Position Title: Beverage Server
Department: All venues
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
The Beverage Server fulfills the beverage needs of guests by providing fast, friendly, and world-class hospitality, ensuring that all guests are greeted with a sincere welcome and a sincere closing statement to make customers feel valued. Beverage Servers are fast-paced, fun, efficient, and eager to serve.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide friendly and fast beverage service to guests).
- Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).
- Act with urgency at all times to minimize wait times; maintain a quick and purposeful pace. Maintain an unwavering positive and friendly demeanor at all times in all circumstances.
- Master beverage technology systems to provide accurate and efficient service. Avoid distractions and stays focused. Minimize production time and limits time in service wells to less than 5 minutes of productive time.
- Keep all items, as assigned, fully stocked.
- Ensure service and playing area is properly maintained and excess cups, trash, dirty ashtrays, etc. are removed from the playing area and that beverage stations are clean and functioning properly.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are maintained.
- Maintain an “on stage” image adhering to all grooming, uniform and interaction guidelines.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption
- Follow instructions.
- Must be poised to handle tensions created by crowded casino/venue situations.
- Maintain temperature requirements for food and drink preservations.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings (e.g., restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events. [FP1]
- At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Food/Beverage serving experience preferred.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
Licensing & Certification:
- None
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Operate and maintain dispensers such as: fountain, juice, creamer, and coffee brewer.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- The job requires the ability to hear, reach overhead, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk, carry, and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crouch/stoop, lift 1-25 lbs., and slide/transfer 1-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- The job requires the ability to write and read 51-100% of the time.
- The job requires the ability to problem solve and organize 25-50% of the time
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed primarily indoors with exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette smoke).
- The job is performed outdoors with occasional exposure to hot/cold temperatures.
Other Requirements:
- Obtain, as applicable, within thirty days from day of employment, alcohol service certification, and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screen.
