Janitorial Porter

1. General Cleaning Duties
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Dusting and wiping down surfaces.
Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms.
Emptying trash and recycling bins.
Cleaning glass doors and windows.

2. Restocking Supplies
Replenishing soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other restroom supplies
Restocking janitorial carts or closets

3. Maintenance Support
Reporting maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks)
Ensuring safe, clean, and hazard-free common areas

4. Porter Duties
Cleaning up spills and messes as they occur during the day
Assisting with event setup/cleanup
Monitoring and maintaining lobby and public areas appearance
Moving or rearranging furniture or equipment as needed

5. Customer and Staff Interaction
Providing directions or assistance to building occupants or visitors
Responding to immediate cleaning requests
Acting as a visible presence to ensure tidiness throughout the day

6. Safety and Compliance
Following all safety procedures and guidelines
Using cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
Ensuring compliance with building policies and OSHA standards
