As aHost/Hostess, you set the tone for our guests as you lead them to theirtable for a delectable meal. As a part of Marcus Hotels sorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, foodconnoisseurs, and entertainment seekers. What you will be doing: Greetguests, check reservations, and log arrivals. Answer phones and managevoicemail. Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introducetheir server. Maintain cleanliness of the work area. Handle reservationsand arrangements for restaurant functions. Assist wait staff and busstaff as needed. Help with BEOs for private functions. Perform otherduties as assigned. What we are looking for: No prior experiencerequired. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Ability to effectivelydeal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positivemanner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern,demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive andproactive solutions. Ability to read, speak, and write the Englishlanguage, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations.Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized.Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items andmulti-task. Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.Ability to work POS system, Open Table computer and cash handlingexperience preferred.
