Front** **Office Receptionist**Position Summary:Part time 10 am-2 pm Monday-FridayAssist to the tribal elders and members as they visit the office and/or call on the phone. Answering the phone and emails about inquiries for programs available and what type of assistance the tribe can offer. Stay up to date on current activities. Supply information regarding the organization to the public, tribal members, and non-tribal member customers. Assist the Tribal Admin and Tribal Clerk with any interoffice working they might need assistance with.Reporting Relationship:Reports to the Tribal AdministratorMajor Job Duties:- Answer telephone, screen and direct calls- Take and relay messages- Provide information to callers and public- Greet Tribal members and non tribal members entering organization- Deal with queries from the public and tribal members- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness- Provide general administrative and clerical support- Prepare correspondences and documents- Receive mail and deliveries- Schedule appointments for all staff.- Organize conference and meeting rooms- Control inventory relevant to reception area- Monitor and maintain office equipment- Tidy and maintain the reception, kitchen and common areas- Various other duties as assigned by the Tribal Administrator ;Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public and private officials and the QNT tribal membership.- Possess basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.- Apply the principles of confidentiality as directed.- Good verbal and written communication skills- Professional personal presentation- Customer service orientation- Good Organizing and planning- Attention to Detail- Initiative, Reliable and ability to handle stressMinimum Requirements:- High School Diploma/ GED- Valid Driver's License- Be able to pass background checks- Must be reliable, flexible and willing to assist and accommodate the needs of the tribe.- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices- Keyboard skills- Ability to work a switchboard- Able to work a multiple line phone system.- Basic computer skills- Familiarity with Microsoft and Google DocsWorking Conditions:Qutekcak Native Tribe offers a smoke, drug and alcohol free work environment.
