Role
We are looking for a Steward to join our team at Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah. Reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas and service ware, supporting both guest and colleague experiences. This position also assists in staff meal preparation and ensures back-of-house spaces are clean, well-stocked, and in line with Amans standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine and ensure correct use of cleaning chemicals.

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, coolers, freezers, and storerooms.

  • Support the storage and proper organisation of food and cleaning supplies upon delivery.

  • Ensure all kitchen and restaurant teams are equipped with the necessary service ware each day.

  • Keep the cafeteria clean, stocked, and well-prepared for colleague mealtimes.

  • Store all items properly at the end of shift, labelling and dating products accurately.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary work area at all times.

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with colleagues and guests.

  • Remove rubbish and clean floors as needed throughout the day.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to Amans service standards.

Requirements

  • Oral proficiency in the English language.

  • High school graduate or G.E.D.

  • Must have open availability and be able to work weekends.

  • Able to be organised, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.

  • Sensitive to cultural nuances.

  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work together with other colleagues and maintain professional working relationships. Any relationships that could potentially pose a conflict of interest should be disclosed to HR and may require a written disclosure.

  • Clean driving record.
