Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

Location: Chantilly, VA Salary: $49,000.00 USD Annually - $50,000.00 USD Annually Description: As an Apprentice Engineer, you will support the operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the engineering field. Key Responsibilities Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (e.g., pumps, chillers, boilers, air compressors). Adjust HVAC and related equipment to maintain operating standards. Perform general repairs and replacements on building components (fixtures, appliances, plumbing, electrical). Participate in water treatment chemical programs. Maintain operation logs and inspection files (e.g., central plant operations, chemical usage). Apply basic HVAC knowledge to resolve work orders. Respond promptly and courteously to tenant requests. Maintain professional relationships with contractors and tenants. Collaborate with the operations team and contribute as a team member. Learn and assist with emergency procedures (evacuations, bomb searches, life safety alarms). Understand and use fire alarm and life safety systems. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Participate in training and development activities.
