Job Summary Guest Services Representative II Location: Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Shift: Saturday/Sunday 9a-7p - Off Monday - Friday Guest Services Representative II The Guest Services Representative II is a key team member who helps make patients and their families feel cared for and comfortable during their time at the hospital. They are friendly and supportive, setting a positive tone for everyone's experience. What they do: Provide kind and compassionate help to patients and their loved ones throughout their visit. Check in regularly with patients and work closely with nurses and other hospital staff to make sure patients are comfortable. Keep the environment welcoming and safe. Quickly fix any problems or concerns guests might have. Help with office tasks like paperwork and managing lost and found items. Support patients by helping them understand their rights and needs. Know the hospital's services well to give the best possible help and information. This role is all about making sure every patient and guest has a great experience while at the hospital. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Experience: Minimum of two years in a busy healthcare/social work setting, preferred. 3 years of customer Service; Social Work; Clergy; Scheduling; Previous leadership experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid state drivers license for facilities where Valet assistance may be needed, required. Additional Skills Required: Presents self in a professional manner and possesses strong customer services skills. Ability to converse with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority. Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills. Comfortable in patient care areas, including the inpatient and emergency departments. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Able to provide prompt and quick service recovery for patient and visitor complaints. Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent organizational and time-management skills. Able to use de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, have proficient typing skills and familiarity with scheduling programs.
