Overview Incumbent oversees the cleaning, supplying and serving functions of the Stewards. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Virginia Health departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for routine inspections to ensure the adherence to Virginia Health department codes. Sustains and improves cleanliness and sanitation along with knowledge of proper usage and maintenance of all equipment. Performs all supervisory functions and directs department staff in accordance with personnel guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or GED required, as well as a minimum of 5 years management experience in the food and beverage area or the equivalent combination of education and experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have proven track record in a high volume capacity preferably in a management position. Proven track record in business management, purchasing and record keeping required. Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals, food service equipment and china, glass, flatware and linen and have strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Proficiency in Excel and Word software programs required. Must acquire Serve Safe and HACCP certification Additional Details WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
