Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Join our site Maintenance Team as a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic. You will work alongside five Facilities Associates, a Facilities Supervisor, and a Site Facilities Manager, contributing to the smooth operations of our four onsite buildings. With a focus on safety and minimal supervision, you will handle commercial and industrial building maintenance tasks, including limited grounds maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repair, and snow removal. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machines such as Lathe and Vertical Machining Center, with preferred experience in HAAS, Matsuura. Conduct plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and grounds keeping tasks as needed. Troubleshoot and perform moderate repairs on HVAC/RTU units. Assist with projects including building reconfigurations, moving office spaces, and other facilities functions. Maintain and inventory existing assets and equipment. Complete documentation for work performed in a timely manner. Respond to emergency call-ins during storms or natural disasters for debris, snow, or ice clearance. Perform basic building maintenance functions such as equipment repair, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and grounds keeping. Interact with various organizational levels. Essential Skills 3+ years of related experience in facilities maintenance. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and repair work. Ability to lift over 50 lbs. The work schedule is flexible, with shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location This position is based out of Mount Prospect, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
