Job Purpose:
Performs duties particular to and normally required in the trade of groundskeeping, following recognized procedures and techniques for such work.
Essential Functions:
90% - Groundskeeping - Mowing, watering, weeding, seeding fertilizing, refuse collection in areas assigned. Operate power mowers and associated lawn equipment in the maintenance of hedges, shrubs, trees, and lawns. Maintain automatic sprinkler systems. Maintain streets by patching asphalt, installing and maintaining pavers, operating jackhammers, and pouring concrete. Operate trucks, vans, backhoe, snowplows, and other heavy equipment. Apply chemicals and fertilizers on lawns, trees, and shrubs. Perform general labor and maintenance duties in support of the Maintenance Division during the off-season. Duties to include support tall maintenance trades. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, roadways, plazas, and steps.
