REPORTS TO:

Lynn Moomaw, Director of Operations & Pam Tarleton, Head Cook

WORK WEEK/YEAR:

Monday – Friday, 7:15 AM – 1:00 PM, totaling 5.75 hours per day, as per board-adopted annual calendar.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· BCI and FBI criminal records results less than one-year old must be submitted prior to initial employment and as required thereafter.

· A negative result on a TB test completed within 90 days of employment may be required.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

The Cook/Cashier will assist with preparation and serving of school lunches/breakfast, the daily sales and receipt of money and checks and with the cleaning of dining area and dishwashing. The Cook/Cashier is responsible for following all local, state and federal guidelines related to health, sanitation, and food ordering, storage, preparation and service. The cook/cashier reports to the Head Cook and the Director of Operations.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or proof of graduation. Knowledge and ability to perform processes and safely and properly use equipment related to all aspects of food service. Must be able to count change without a calculator and operate technology related to automated sales. Knows and follows all health and sanitation standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and 25 pounds above the head. Ability and stamina to be on feet and actively moving for entire shift. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, weigh and measure and make mathematical

conversions. Ability to interact effectively with students of all ability levels, staff and the public.
