Job DetailsBar Henry in Echo Park is looking for a seasoned craft cocktail bartender to join us. You should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar environment that demonstrates an advanced knowledge of craft cocktail making. This hire is for a minimum of 3 regular shifts per week with the flexibility to pick up a shift here and there.
Our menu is comprised of seasonal signature cocktails, the classics, and an assortment of beer and wine. As a seasoned craft bartender, you have broad spirit knowledge, and general beer, and wine knowledge.
You will be a positive and supportive force in our close-knit team by helping those around you succeed. You'll help us maintain a culture that supports our core values while keeping the bar's service, aesthetic, and cleanliness up to our very high standards. There is no detail too small here.

- Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a similar high volume, hand-crafted cocktail environment
- You should be well-versed in the opening, closing, and regular operating procedures of a bar like ours, and capable of being responsible for leading the execution of them.
- Full knowledge of traditional cocktail menu items including the components of classic drinks, and an ability to provide simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients to guests.
- Uphold a high standard of quality when assembling beverages for guests while being able to provide swift service.
- Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages including determining when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required, refusing further service in a polite manner.
- Use of our POS system (Toast) for order entry and payment processing
- Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas. We pride ourselves on being one of the cleanist.
- Stocking and preparing bar service related items
- Adhere to dress code standards
Communication is important, between yourself and fellow staff, as well as with management. You should be receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback.
ServSafe food handlers and RBS certification is required within 30 days of hire, and you must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Demands:
The environment could potentially be high stress, so you'll need to be comfortable with that, and also physically capable of bending, crawling, stooping, walking, standing, sitting, handling hot and cold drinks, lifting up to 50lbs, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods of up to 8 hours.'
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00) plus tips
