POSITION SUMMARY Initiate patient and cafeteria meal tray assembly. Perform duties in the cafeteria as assigned including cash handling and reconciliation as assigned. Complete cold food preparation assembling salads, sandwiches and desserts as assigned. Complete patient tray cart assembly and deliver patient trays directly in a timely manner. Move food trays and carts from patient care and other areas of the medical center. Assist in receiving supplies from vendors and restocking supplies to all areas of the department and patient units as assigned. Assist with serving food for patient service, cafeteria service, and special functions as assigned. Deliver floor stock, snack items and other supplies as assigned. Restock all service areas as assigned. Operates pot sink and dish machine as assigned. Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment. Remove and dispose garbage from all areas of the food services areas. Assist in other areas and tasks as assigned. Follow departmental and organizational policies, AIDET and SRMC Standards of Behavior. Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and equipment. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: High school or equivalent. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to calculate simple math equations. Preferred: Six months food service experience.
